Dark Rift
We are approaching a "dark rift" which will be the first time in 26 thousand years...which some say coincides with the last cataclysmic extinction event...it will dawn on December 21, 2012.

According to the Mayans, and many modern day astronomers, we are approaching a "dark rift" in the Milky Way where Earth, our Sun and the Black Hole at the center of our universe will all be perfectly aligned for the first time in about 25,800 years.

According to some:

This alignment could result in a "pole shift" and wreak havoc on magnetic fields. It could trigger rapid continental drift, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, fires, hurricanes, gamma ray bursts, plasma discharge and the sudden explosion of Ryan Seacrest's head, which by then would be as big as the moon, causing widespread destruction.
