The Valspar Corp.’s foundation will continue its 30-year relationship with Habitat for Humanity International by donating more than $20 million in cash and paint through 2012.
Much of the donations will support the Americus, Ga.-based Habitat’s “A Brush With Kindness” program, which helps provide exterior and interior paint jobs for the homes of families in need. The program also offers landscaping and minor home repairs.
The Minneapolis-based paint provider and Habitat’s Twin Cities branch founded the program. Habitat plans to use the donations to make “Brush” into a nationwide program. Some of the paint donations will go to Habitat affiliates across the country.
By 2012, Valspar (NYSE: VAL) will reach a total paint and cash partnership with Habitat worth nearly $40 million.
